The WILD LIFE

Connecting to the Wild Life
and
Protecting It

In its mission “Wild Life”,
3.8 ALLEE FAUVE targets a double goal:

∗  reconnect to the Wild Life, for both our well-being and our personal development

∗  participate in the protection of ecosystems, biodiversity and wild animals

Virtuous energy loop

Each collection is intimately linked to an Animal female.

In order to anchor this relationship that binds us to her, part of the profits from the collection supports an NGO that protects her, or protects her babies or her species.

We thus create an energy loop between the Animale muse of the collection and Us, a powerful interconnection inter-species.

The Elephante collection financially helps an elephant orphanage in Zambia thanks to the NGO IFAW France.

We thus create an energy loop between the Elephante and us : the energy of the Elephante helps us in our life, on a daily basis or in specific actions, and we help its young when they are orphans. We set up an interconnection inter-species, a powerful link between us.

The elephant orphanage

When poachers kill an Elephant female, her abandoned baby is both in a post-traumatic stress and is in danger of death because s.he needs breast milk.

The orphan elephant calfs taken in at the orphanage are treated, nourished, walked, watched by their “guardians” every day and night.  After weaning, when they are between 3 and 5 years old, they join a protected park which rehabilitates them to life with their elephant community. 12 years are necessary to rescue and rehabilitate an orphan elephant calf.

IFAW’s elephant orphanage is the second elephant orphanage in all of Africa.

Wild Animals and Us

We could write pages. I would just emphasize these few elements:

Unlike us (very often):

  • Animals are in the present moment
  • They only take in nature what they need
  • Some communicate in a telepathic way
  • They feel things, long before us (such as earthquakes, diseases)
  • They have capacities that we do not have (or more)
  • They are in symbiosis with their environment
  • They do not know waste

Like us :

  • They feel the need to eat, drink, shelter, and have more fun eating this or that fruit rather than another
  • They experience as many emotions and feelings, whether it is joy, love, pain, fear, pain
  • They have a maternal instinct
  • They have a social life
  • They experience empathy towards their fellows
  • They have an acute awareness of their environment
  • They are looking for freedom of movement

We, Humans, are neither better, nor less well than them; we are different.

But We, Humans and Animals, are all interconnected, all inhabitants of the same planet, the Earth.

I really like this quote from the film “Earthlings”

” Far from universal nature and evolving in complexity, civilized man observes creatures through the prism of his brain.

We treat their unfinished state with condescension, their form of life below ours, this is where we make a serious error.

Because the animal should not be judged in relation to humans.

In an older and more accomplished world than ours, they evolve in their complete and completed form.

Endowed with a meaning that we have lost or never reached.

They hear “voices” that we will never hear.

They are neither our brothers nor our subordinates.

They represent other nations. “

Why the choice of marine leather

Being a vegetarian, I first turned to the vegan alternatives to leather.

Here is a very brief summary of what I learnt on current vegan fashion issues :

The vegan alternatives, as their current state of development, are unfortunately :

  • either 100% synthetic, therefore 100% petroleum derivative plastic
  • or based on vegetable putrescible materials, which are stabilized and made rot -proof by the addition of plastic, often representing 50% of total material.

In addition, they are not very durable over time, with a lifespan of 3-4 years for vegetable alternatives.

So I ended up admitting that these materials, in the current state of their development, did not enter into the eco-responsibility criteria that I had defined.

Why sea leather :

As a vegetarian, with a few vegan inclinations, I immediately put marine leather aside. But doing more depth research of all alternative materials to classic leather, I realized that the marine leather of a very committed and French tannery was the material that best met the sustainability criteria that I had fixed :

  • Marine leather makes it possible to revalue resources which were supposed to be detroyed, in the logic of the upcycling
  • Marine leather is precious leather, but unlike all other precious leathers, it is the only one where the animal is not killed for its skin
  • Marine leather is very resistant, as resistant as a classic leather, therefore very durable over time
  • Finally, marine leather is for me is a way of honoring the memory of animals that have given their lives to feed people

I keep on doing monitoring on all other materials that would meet the highest criteria of eco-responsibility, eco-design, respect for Nature and Animals.
